ABOUT CHUCK TRUNKS:
Chuck Trunks is a writer and artist who grew up in suburban Philadelphia. After earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from North Carolina State University, Chuck had a successful 19-year career in a variety of positions ranging from genetic engineer to software developer to business analyst at Amgen, Inc. in Thousand Oaks, California. During his tenure in the biotech industry, he traveled extensively throughout the United States, Europe, and the Caribbean.
For the last 18 years, Chuck has been following his inner compass toward interests that have brought him self-awareness, self-actualization, and ultimately, self-acceptance. Although he readily admits he’s risked it all, lost it all, and grown from it all, Chuck feels it was a fair exchange for having found his voice—an intentional and passionate voice that carries his philosophy regarding the relationships we have with ourselves, with those closest to us, and with society in general.
When he isn’t trying to save the world from certain dystopian calamities with his writing and art, Chuck relishes being a student of life and learning all he can about nature, physics, sociology, psychology, philosophy, and world history. To make sense of it all, he logs thousands of miles on his 18-year-old bicycle.
